About this tool

DISC is a behavioural model that's been around since the 1920s, and here's the interesting bit: it's completely public domain. That means anyone can create their own assessment based on it, and many people have - from simple free tools to sophisticated commercial products.

I built this basic version because I find DISC genuinely useful - both for understanding myself and for leading others more effectively. It's a simple framework that helps make sense of different working styles and communication preferences.

This assessment contains 24 questions. For each one, you'll see four statements. Choose the one that describes you most accurately in a work or professional context. There are no right or wrong answers - just be honest about how you typically behave, not how you think you should behave.

This is an informal self-assessment designed to give you an indication of your style. It's not a validated psychometric instrument - just a useful starting point for self-reflection.
